Collage Night with Nicole Beno

This workshop will begin with a quick artist talk exploring ways in which Nicole weaves collage into her practice both in her personal and commercial work. Then we'll dive into a free flow cut and paste session and create our own collages.

Grab your friends, or come solo, and pull up a seat and enjoy a fun filled night of play! Materials and tools will be provided, if there are any additional image-making tools you'd like to include, feel free to bring them along.

Nicole Beno is an Ontario based artist and designer, fascinated with technology and its relationship to the natural world. Known for her inventive use of everyday materials ranging from orchid petals, jello, office supplies to moldy strawberries, she employs them in ways that emphasize their aesthetic qualities. Through the process of digital manipulation, she distorts, cuts, collages them into something new. Her photographs and image-making style result in a blend of digital and analog, a remix between the computer and the hand.
